Falling Skies (2011–2015)

Falling Skies (2011–2015) is a science fiction television series created by Robert Rodat and produced by Steven Spielberg. The series aired on TNT and follows the aftermath of an alien invasion that has decimated much of humanity. The show focuses on the struggle of a group of survivors as they fight back against the extraterrestrial threat.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Falling Skies begins six months after the initial invasion by a race of aliens known as the Espheni. The survivors are primarily members of a resistance group led by Tom Mason (Noah Wyle), a former history professor who becomes the leader of the Second Mass, a militia group fighting for the survival of humanity.

The series explores the challenges the group faces as they try to reclaim their world from the invaders. The aliens, who have enslaved and exterminated a large portion of the human population, use technology to control and manipulate humans and their remaining resources. The survivors must navigate this new world, form alliances, and confront internal and external threats as they seek to overthrow the alien oppressors.
