Blade (1998)
Blade (1998) is a superhero horror film directed by Stephen Norrington and based on the Marvel Comics character Blade. The movie stars Wesley Snipes as Blade, a half-human, half-vampire warrior with the powers of a vampire but none of their weaknesses, except for the thirst for blood. Trained by his mentor Whistler (played by Kris Kristofferson), Blade dedicates his life to protecting humanity from the hidden world of vampires.
The film’s plot follows Blade as he battles the ruthless vampire Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff), who has a plan to summon an ancient blood god and take over the world. With the help of hematologist Dr. Karen Jenson (N’Bushe Wright), Blade must stop Frost’s plan and prevent a vampire apocalypse.
Blade is known for its stylish action sequences, martial arts combat, and dark, gritty tone.
