RAMBO 6: NEW BLOOD (2024)

Rambo is an American media franchise centered on a series of action films featuring the iconic character, John Rambo. There have been five films released so far: First Blood (1982), Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Rambo III (1988), Rambo (2008), and Rambo: Last Blood (2019).

 

The films follow John Rambo, a United States Army Special Forces veteran played by Sylvester Stallone, whose traumatic experiences fighting in the Vietnam War endowed him with superior military skills. Rambo uses these skills to combat corrupt police officers, enemy troops, and drug cartels. The first film, First Blood, is an adaptation of David Morrell’s 1972 novel of the same name. The series has grossed $819 million in total, with the most successful film, Rambo: First Blood Part II, grossing $300 million. Stallone co-wrote the screenplays for all five films and directed Rambo (2008). Beyond the films, the franchise has expanded into other media, including an animated television series titled Rambo: The Force of Freedom, as well as comic books, novels, video games, and a Bollywood remake.
