Generation War (2013)

“Generation War” (original title: “Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter”) is a German television miniseries that aired in 2013. Set during World War II, the series follows the lives of five German friends as they navigate the turmoil of the war.

The friends include two brothers, Wilhelm and Friedhelm, who are soldiers in the Wehrmacht, Charlotte, a nurse, Greta, a singer, and Viktor, a Jewish tailor. As the war progresses, each character faces moral dilemmas and personal challenges. Wilhelm and Friedhelm experience the brutal reality of combat on the Eastern Front, confronting the horrors of war and the moral ambiguity of their actions.
